LATE NEWS:
I have a photo/video/sculpture in SUBstainability, a show opening this Thursday, January 20, at The Galleries at Texas State University.
The Facebook invite link is here.
I’m also giving a lecture at Texas State University tomorrow, Wednesday January 19, at 2 pm.
This show is going to be FANTASTIC. There’s AMAZING artists in it. I’m super looking forward to it!
My new post for ART21 blog, “Bruce Nauman’s Cyborg Eyes” is LIVE now!
LOOK U GUYS! FANTASY VISION MEDITATION (IN COLOR) got mentioned in Rhizome! (THX JACOB!)
I’ve started writing a monthly column for the fantastic ART21 Blog I’ve called FUTURE METAPHORS. Here’s the text on it:
“FUTURE METAPHORS will explore how new technologies have infiltrated contemporary art making and how artists respond to the ways in which new technologies are changing us. Think of it as “the sci-fi column” on Art21, or an extension of Lozano’s previous stint as a guest blogger. Lozano will present interviews with artists, “case studies,” reviews of shows in his city of Chicago and observations on culture and technology.”
This shot is taken from a post in Time Out Chicago’s THE TOC BLOG about a show at Johalla Projects that I recently participated in, called IN A PLAIN BROWN WRAPPER, curated by the amazing Barbara DeGenevieve and Anna Cerniglia.
Apparently it’s easier to relate to “funny-yet-visceral poems about sex” than to my prints, but that’s something I’m ok with ;)
